Reliability-aware management strategy for hybrid fuel cell-battery system of electric vehicles based on potential field theory

摘要

Electric vehicles equipped with hybrid fuel cell-battery systems (HFCBS) face challenges in maintaining reliability due to the complexity of interactions among various working conditions. The traditional management strategy mainly focuses on optimizing the operation economy and aging cost of hfcb, which is difficult to adapt to the increasing demand for the reliability of HFCBS. To address this problem, we propose a new concept, namely behavior potential field, which innovatively reveals the competition mechanism between the fuel cell and storage battery in reliability. Based on field theory, a unified model of the behavior potential field for HFCBS is constructed, which includes the failure field of the fuel cell and battery, the efficiency field of HFCBS. The transformation relationship between field strength action and HFCBS state is explored to construct an energy management strategy (EMS) for the HFCBS, so as to comprehensively improve the reliability of the HFCBS in dynamic working conditions. Compared with the rule-based EMS and the DP-based EMS, the proposed EMS improves the reliability of the fuel cell by 11.1 % and 5.9 % respectively.
