摘要

Highlights Expansion force increase most significantly during the voltage plateau period. The lumped electrical-thermal-gas coupled model is developed for the overcharge-induced thermal runaway. Gas generations from electrolyte oxidation, electrolyte reduction, and SEI decomposition are calculated. The connection between electrochemical-thermal characteristics and battery swelling is uncovered.
