Organisation profile

The School of Integrated Circuits and Electronics at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), originated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of the former Beijing Polytechnic University (BIT today), which was established in the 1960s as one of the first units in China dedicated to radar, remote sensing, telemetering, radio electronics physics, and semiconductor materials and devices. In June 2021, responding to national strategic needs and aiming to promote the development of the integrated circuit discipline in China, BIT established the School of Integrated Circuits and Electronics. The school was selected as a higher-level talent training project for the integrated circuit field by the Ministry of Education. It also gained approval for the first doctoral program in integrated circuit science and engineering.
